One piece to put on and easy to fasten in place, these
nappies are waterproof and do not require an outer cover.
They need absorbent inserts which can be purchased with
the nappies or separately to give a choice of insert fabric.
For light-moderate wetters use one insert. For heavier
wetters or longer periods used two inserts or an insert
and booster. Using a Swaddlbees microterry insert with
and Swaddlebees hemp insert or booster underneath gives
a very trim absorbent nappy. Not usually suitable for
use as a night nappy. Flushable liners can be used to
make solids disposal easier if required.
Swaddlebees pocket nappies need to be washed at least
three to four times and dry between washes to get the
maximum absorbency from the cotton layer. You may experience
leaking if the nappy has not been pre-washed sufficiently.
To wash after use remove any inserts and store nappy &
inserts in a dry bucket. First cold machine rinse or cold
soak and then wash at 40ºC (or up to 60ºC if
necessary) and hang to dry. Can be tumble dried on low
heat if prefered. Do not use greasy rash cream, bleach
or fabric conditioner.
*Please do not use weight as the sole
basis for choosing the nappy size for your baby. Because
babies are shaped differently, a nappy may or may not
fit your baby even if he/she is within the weight range
for a certain size. The best way to choose your size is
to go by measurements. |
