A sumptuous, premium quality shaped nappy that stays soft wash after wash. Made with 2 full body layers of 100% certified organic cotton velour with a hidden full layer of hemp jersey and a hidden sewn-in soaker layer of hemp french terry.

To speed up drying time Swaddlebees organic cotton velour nappies have an attached quick-dry booster composed of 2 layers of hemp french terry topped with another layer of organic cotton velour. Colored nappies come with just the outer layer dyed with low-impact, environmentally friendly dyes, and all layers next to the baby's skin are undyed.

Swaddlebees organic cotton velour nappies are cut narrow across the crotch to reduce bulk between baby’s legs. The leg openings are high-cut, meaning that the nappy suits babies with slim or chubby thighs equally well. They fasten with two poppers on each side, allowing separate adjustment of the waist and leg. Fastening at the side gives the nappy a slim profile and makes it difficult for toddlers to undo. These nappies can be pulled up and down, making them particularly suitable for potty training toddlers.

This nappy is not waterproof and will require an outer wrap. Because of the trim cut any nappy wrap will be suitable.

Sizing and Measurement

The nappy is available in standard Small, Medium and Large sizes and is also available in a Newborn size, which can be used instead of the small size for smaller newborns.

The supertrim 'Newborn' size will fit from approx. 5 -14lb (2.3 - 6.4Kg) depending on baby's shape (the small size could be missed out if you choose the newborn size). It has an outer and inner layer of 100% organic cotton velour with a hidden layer of hemp french terry. There is an attached 'flap out' booster of one layer of hemp french terry topped with organic cotton velour. Suitable right from birth, the front of nappy poppers down to leave baby's umbilical cord area to free from the nappy and able to breathe. Absolutely gorgeous supersoft first nappy!

Care
Coloured nappies are colourfast and can be washed together with your white nappies without the colours running. Wash at up to 40ºC and hang to dry or tumble dry on low-medium heat. Click for more details on nappy care.

A Absolutely! This nappy has 7 layers of absorbency where your baby needs it. For extra absorbency during naps or for overnight use, simply slip a booster or Swaddlebees pocket nappy insert underneath the attached booster pad.

Q Is this as trim as the Swaddlebees Pocket Nappies?
A No, only because it has several layers of fabric. But the fit is very comparable to a swaddlebees pocket nappies.

Q Why do you use a combination of organic cotton & hemp fabrics?
A Organic knit fabrics are used for the exterior of the nappy, and the interior that touches the baby's skin for their softness and ability to quickly absorb wetness. We use hemp fabrics for 3 reasons: absorbency, durability & anti-microbial properties. Because it absorbs four times more than cotton alone, hemp fabrics are widely known to be one of the most absorbent materials used for nappying. Hemp is also more durable than cotton and can help your nappy last longer. Its natural anti-microbial properties ensures that your baby's nappy stays free from mold, fungus, and bacteria that can cause nappy rash.

Q Since this nappy incorporates hemp, do I need to wash it several times before using?
A Not necessarily. You can if you want to, but you simply need to wash it once prior to first use and it's ready to go. It will increase in absorbency over the first few washes.
