Healthy nursing pads & inserts system from Imse Vimse

Lovely, soft breast pads made from merino wool and silk to protect the breasts and keep them comfortable. Wool and silk are natural materials that allow the air to circulate around the skin, allowing it to breathe and keeping nipples dry, thus helping to prevent soreness. They can absorb any leaking milk without feeling wet and help to prevent blocked milk ducts.

The pads will absorb and disperse smaller amounts of milk or can be used together with cotton nursing inserts (below) which can be tucked inside the breast pads, next to the skin, to absorb greater amounts of milk when needed.

Wool/silk breast pads

Imse Vimse breast pads are made from 100% merino wool and a layer of 100% silk tricot. This makes them slim, soft and pliable for a perfect fit inside a nursing bra. Choosing silk against the skin makes them ideal or those with extra-sensitive breasts, who are sensitive to wool, or whose nipples easily become sore. The soft, silk fabric feels smooth and soothing against the skin.

Sizing
Imse Vimse nursing pads are available in three sizes and are either circular (14cm diameter & 18cm diameter) or droplet-shaped. The droplet-shaped pads comfort and warm the milk glands and extend out to the armpits. They are ideal for use at night-time.

Washing instructions
Made from 100% wool and100% silk. Imse Vimse breast pads can be washed in the washing machine on a wool cycle at 30°C or by hand using Imse Vimse's wool shampoo or olive soap. They are supplied packaged as a pair.

Cotton inserts

Many women experience milk leaking at times when breastfeeding. Made from the softest brushed cotton fabric Imse Vimse inserts can be placed inside the wool/silk pads, against the skin, to absorb greater amounts of milk than the pads alone. The inserts can be changed as frequently as required when damp.

They are avaliable in one size (circular and shaped to the breast, 12.5 cm diameter) and come in packs of three pairs.

Tip: Place a wool breast pad on top of the nursing insert to keep your breasts warm and to help to prevent blocked milk ducts.

Washing instructions
Made from 100% organic cotton flannel. It is recommended that you rinse the inserts in cold water before washing as this dissolves the protein in the milk. Wash at 60-90°C.
